Eddie Star was aboard the USS Essex, stationed in Sasebo, Japan. He arrived at his duty station on September 7, 2001. As you may imagine, on the day of September 11, 2001, was beyond words.

During that time in the USN, Eddie traveled throughout the Pacific, including Australia, Guam, and much of southeast Asia. Thailand and Singapore were Eddie’s favorite ports.

Eddie had the opportunity for a wide range of work in about 30 years: bartender; US Navy; various libraries, including a VA hospital; disaster relief assistance; church deacon; real estate investing; video and web production; business admin and ownership.

Eddie’s passion and commitment to fellow veterans remains today. When a veteran needs to sell their business, Eddie’s in their corner. Should an opportunity arise for a veteran to be employed in a business venture, Eddie aims to help them secure the position. And when it comes to giving back, Eddie wants to do his part to eliminate homelessness amongst veterans.
