Cory Johnican is a senior sales and business development executive with a proven track record of success. With my ability to assess complex issues as well as an exceptional understanding of the human side of organizations, I unify individuals as well as business units toward accomplishing their most ambitious goals. My success is derived by designing and deploying business strategies that galvanize teams, inspire customers and fuels business growth.
Currently, I oversee the Akamai partner alliance with AT&T for content delivery and cloud security solutions. Recently, I lead the AT&T Healthcare vertical as the Regional Sales Director. Previous to this role, I served as the AT&T Regional Technical Director. Prior to moving to Atlanta, GA, I worked in the AT&T Enterprise Business Services division as a Technical Sales Manager in Houston, TX. Prior to my career with AT&T, I was the Regional Manager for Testex Inc., an engineering firm that specializes in the detection and analysis of metallurgical defects utilizing Remote Field Electro-Magnetics.
I have a vast knowledge of telecommunication, security, technology and software solutions. I have successfully implemented many security, data and voice networks in addition to numerous software and mobility projects. During my career, I have worked with many customers developing adhesive relationships that has created unique bonds between organizations. I have also trained, mentored and developed numerous sales and technical leaders.
I am a native of Brazoria, Texas. I received my MBA from the University of Houston, Bauer College of Business, in Houston, Texas. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology Engineering from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas while on numerous academic scholarships.
I also dedicate time to non-profit community services which include United Way, Urban League and Habitat for Humanity. In my spare time I love to play recreational sports, commercial real estate investing and develop small business ventures.
